    Having got two options to sell their products, the growers bring their plants on the market      

    on their own or they send them to flower auctions. ( Floraholland )

    With the export-oriented auctions in Naaldwijk and Rijnsburg and the regional auctions in     

    Bleiswijk, Venlo and Eelde this organised system of Floraholland gives every grower and 

    Buyer a market place that suits his particular needs.

c) Tell us something about the role of water

    Water is used at the auctions for transport. In the old auction places they showed the

     flowers on boats who just went through a cannel in the auction room. They also use

     the water to sprinkle flowers, because the plants need water to survive and they are

     looking healthier then.
